Wayne Joseph Page, born January 15th 1958, passed away peacefully in the arms of his beloved wife Rosemarie on January 28th, 2021. He was affectionately known by some as "Poopster". Wayne was born in Boston, MA and was raised in Canton, MA by his late and wonderful parents Frederick W. Page and Ruth (MacInnis) Page. Wayne spent the last 40+ years of his life living in Pepperell, MA with his adored wife Rosemarie T. Page. He was the father of five children and grandfather of nine.

Wayne’s profession was in construction. Which meant he was a carpenter, plumber, electrician, arbor… unless the inspector was on the way. And through that job he was able to leave his mark on homes and businesses throughout the region. A fact surely appreciated by all those property owners and their families. Maybe not always appreciated by any tradesmen that had to share the job site with him and didn’t do something the way he thought it should be done, couldn’t tolerate his blunt and colorful sense of humor, or couldn’t match his relentless work ethic.

Wayne’s most identifiable traits were his love for his family and his easy-going nature. The latter making the former seem to come very easily for him. He could just as easily laugh at a bad golf shot as he could celebrate a good one. Same for losing a fish at the side of the boat as opposed to landing the lunker of the summer. Everyone knows the rule though - no picture, no fish.

He loved to camp, fish, golf, and especially help people. Family, friends, strangers, it didn’t matter. If you needed help, and he knew about it, you got everything he had to offer. His happiest moments were at the campground with a Rolling Rock or Crown Royal in hand, and his family by his side. He also seemed to take great pride in complete dominance of the TV remote, until he would fall asleep and drop it on the floor. And while on the topic of his pride, like many other grandparents, his life did revolve around his grandkids. His children had to accept the fact that coming to visit you, actually meant I’m coming to visit the grandkids.

Wayne had a great sense of humor and his family wanted to make sure that was conveyed in this announcement of his passing. It was a big part of who he was, and he would have liked that anyone reading this also had a chance to have a laugh.

Wayne is survived by his wife and soulmate Rosemarie T. Page, his five children, Kathleen Hamel and her husband Jim, Steven Page and his wife Sarah, Sara Page and her partner Just Scott, Chris Page and his wife Nicole, Matthew Page and his wife Kristin, as well as his 9 grandchildren, Mason, Owen, Hailey, Peyton, Brooklyn, Raeleigh, Colin, Madeline & Baby P 2.0 (coming soon in July), his sister Kathleen Blais and her husband Bill, and his brother Thomas Page and his wife Susan. Wayne was pre-deceased by his parents Frederick and Ruth Page, and siblings Frederick W. Page Jr., Steven M. Page and Cynthia A. Chisholm.

Per his request a wake will not be held. There will be a celebration of life party, he was very clear it should be a party, this coming Memorial Day weekend. More information will be provided as the event is planned.
