Trey M. Callahan, 28, of Pepperell, Massachusetts suddenly passed away on November 17, 2024. His loss is completely unexpected and his family is profoundly saddened.
Trey was born on December 28, 1995 to Edward and Tonya Lewis Callahan at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was the oldest of six children: Shalee, Reed, Raelyn, Cade, Jace.
Trey was a 2014 graduate of North Middlesex High School. An athlete in general, Trey especially loved football and did quite well with his varsity team. Upon graduation, he went on to receive his Associates Degree in Automotive Collision and Repair in 2017 at Nashua Community College.
Trey was truly the jack of all trades even though he would prefer to be called the “Jack of all Treys”. He was a handyman, mechanic, motorcycle enthusiast, dog lover and the best friend anyone could have. Everyone that knew Trey loved him and that was a fact. He was an exemplary son, brother and human being. He embodied the best of qualities: unconditional love, strength of spirit and selfless generosity. Trey served as an essential role model to all his younger siblings, especially to his brothers. He would take the shirt off his back for anyone. He worked many different manual labor positions, including construction. As of recent, he was with a pipe drilling company out of Lancaster, MA.
If he was moving, he was happy. He always needed to be doing something and contributing somewhere. He had an immense passion for his family. He was the life of the party. He lit up any room with his smile and his jokes. The world will truly be a different place without him. His departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound. It is gravely felt by his entire family and countless others who loved him deeply in his wide network of community.
Trey was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Joan and Edward Callahan, Sr., his cousins Sloan Kindsvater, John Michael Costello, Jimmy Price, and James Callahan. In addition to his parents and siblings, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Shaleh Lane Lewis, Frisco TX, and Robert and Jana Lewis, Centennial, CO, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visiting hours will be held in the McGaffigan Family Funeral Home, 37 Main St. (Rte. 113) Pepperell, MA on Monday, November 25th from 4 - 8 pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Trey's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace worshiping at St. Joseph's Church, 28 Tarbell St., Pepperell, MA on Tuesday, November 26th at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Jersey St., Pepperell.
The family immensely appreciates your support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The American Heart Association (www.heart.org) or the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans (www.nchv.org).
