Timothy W. Medrek, age 48, of Pepperell, formerly of East Longmeadow, passed away September 4, 2014 after a long illness.
Tim was the son of the late Dr. John J. Medrek, who passed in 1989, and Jean Medrek of East Longmeadow, MA. He graduated from East Longmeadow High School in 1984 and received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts in 1990. Tim began his career as a health care marketing specialist and moved into personal caregiving for the disabled, which better suited his compassionate side.
In 1991, he married Laurie Daniels of Tewksbury and made their home in Pepperell, raising their three beautiful children together. Music was his great passion, and he relished his time as a solo artist and published composer. In his healthier years, he loved to be active outside. He ran many races, including the Bay State Marathon, and enjoyed backpacking expeditions with his brothers. Tim was a devoted father and husband and faithful Christian. We were blessed to enjoy his contagious smile, great sense of humor, positive attitude and gentle compassion for 48 years.
He is survived by his mother Jean Medrek of East Long Meadow his loving and devoted wife Laurie, he leaves his twin sons, Jamison and Devin, currently students at UMass Amherst, and his daughter Emily, a student at UMass Lowell.
