Terry E. Anderson, 63, died Thursday, January 6, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with Ovarian Cancer.
Terry lived her life with a kind and loving presence. She exemplified love, forgiveness, caring and kindness. These traits and lessons she bestowed upon us, will stay with all of us, forever.
Terry was predeceased by her parents; Robert O. Metcalf Sr. and Ruth (MacPhee) Metcalf as well as her eldest brother; Robert O. Metcalf II. She leaves her loving husband of 45 years, Mark Anderson. Her children and grandchildren: son, Kevin Anderson and his wife, Jennifer Anderson and their daughters, Grace and Breelynn; son, Mark Anderson and his daughter, Cheyenne; and daughter, Tiffany Anderson and her son, Nico Anderson. Terry also leaves two brothers: Bill Metcalf, Dana Metcalf and his wife, Kathy; and several nieces and nephews, as well as several in-laws, as well. Terry was born in Groton, MA and grew up in Ayer, MA. Terry and Mark lived in Lunenburg, MA while raising their children and returned to Ayer, MA 4 years ago to live out their retirement.
Terry worked at The Groton School collectively for 15 years. She loved her job and her colleagues. Terry was also a partner to her husband as a Regional Vice President in his business with Primerica Financial Services for over 25 years. Terry was a dedicated member of Seeds of Faith Community Church in Harvard, MA. She loved the Lord with all her heart and soul.
All who knew Terry, knows she was an angel on Earth. She exuded positivity and love. She always had a positive attitude, a kind word for anyone who crossed her path, and a smile that would warm your heart on even your most difficult of days. We are all blessed to have had her in our lives for any length of time – and any length of time would never be long enough.
Relatives and friends will be received by the family at McGaffigan Funeral Home, 37 Main St. (Rte. 113) Pepperell, MA on Wednesday, January 12 from 4 – 8 p.m. Facial coverings required. Burial services will be held privately for family. She will be laid to rest at Westlawn Cemetery, in Littleton, MA. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Ovations for the Cure, a local organization dedicated to raising funds, awareness and support for women battling Ovarian Cancer ( https://ovationsforthecure.goodworldnow.com/p/donate-now ).
