Susan Elizabeth (McGrath) Funk

Susan Elizabeth (McGrath) Funk, age 61, of Ashby, MA passed away August 12th, 2024 at her home. She was born on August 25th, 1962 to John “Jack” and Mary (Duane) McGrath in Groton, MA. 

Sue was the beloved wife of Tracy Funk, the cherished mother of Jake, and Drew Funk, and the loving sister of Lisa Coates, and Maura Navin. She was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her granddaughter, Isla Rose, who arrived on August 13th, 2024. 

Sue worked in the medical field her entire life. For many years she worked at Groton Internal Medicine with coworkers who became like family to her. Helping people with a smile on her face and an uplifting attitude is what she was always known for.

Sue's life was a testament to love and laughter, touching the hearts of everyone she encountered. Her warmth, kindness, and infectious joy will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she is no longer with us, the memories of her laughter and love will continue to inspire and uplift us. Sue's spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her. 

Visiting hours will be held in the McGaffigan Family Funeral Home, 37 Main St. (Rte. 113) Pepperell, MA on Sunday, August 18, 2024 from 4 - 8 pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Parish worshiping at St. James Church, 13 St. James Ave., West Groton, on Monday, August 19, 2024 at 10 am. Burial will follow at Groton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The American Liver Foundation (https://liverfoundation.org/).
