Sandra I. (Leighton) Greathead

Mrs. Sandra I. Greathead of Lowell died Wednesday May 13th, 2020 at Leominster Hospital, at 85 years. She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick K. Greathead. She was the daughter of the late William and Roberta Leighton of Lowell and grew up in The Highland section of Lowell.

She was a graduate of Lowell High School, Class of 1952. She was a member of The North Tewksbury Baptist Church and had been employed by Kings Department Stores also of Tewksbury.

Sandra’s life was her family, she was a devoted wife and a dedicated mother and deeply loved her grandchildren. She is survived by two sons, Frederick K. Greathead Jr. and his wife Roxanne of Sharon, NH and William L. Greathead and his wife Mary Beth of Pepperell. Six precious grandchildren, Kenneth Greathead, Brittany Greathead, Christopher Greathead, Brian Greathead, Evan Greathead and Tyler Greathead. One great-granddaughter, Emma Greathead. Two sisters, Mercedes Clegg of Lowell and Louise Legrand of FL, several nieces and nephews and her childhood friend Lillian McAlpine of Lowell, MA.
