Robert "Rowdy" Norman Dow

Robert "Rowdy" Norman Dow died at his home on July 12, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Pepperell on November 10, 1938, son of the late Leonard W. and Florence (DeNault) Dow. He was a lifelong resident of Pepperell and Graduate of the former Pepperell High School Class of 1957.

Upon his graduation from high school he continued his studies at the Nashua Business College. He served in the United States Army for 2 years and 4 years in the Army Reserve.

Mr. Dow had been employed at the New England Telephone Company as a lineman, retiring in 1998.

Besides his family he enjoyed hunting, fishing, softball, playing horse shoes and working in his garden. He was also an avid New England sports fan.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Susan J. (Holt) Dow of Pepperell, his children, Lisa Buxton and her husband, Scott, of Newfields, NH, James R. Dow and his wife, Julie, of Rindge, NH, Jennifer S. Bradbury of Ashland, NH and Jane E. Axelson and her husband, Jeff, of Mountain View, CA. His grandchildren Christopher, Devin, Hailey, Matthew and Elizabeth. He is also survived by his sisters Nancy Calvango of FL, Betty Chalmers of Pepperell, and Priscilla Markham of Groton. He was also predeceased by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
