Robert Warren Brown

Robert Warren Brown, otherwise known as Bob or Papa, died peacefully in his sleep in his daughter's home on Tuesday, November 16th, 2021 following the celebration of his 81st birthday. Bob resided for 47 years in the custom home he designed and built in Groton, MA before succumbing to congestive heart failure. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

Bob, the oldest of three children, was born on November 16, 1940 in Waterbury, Connecticut to the son of the late Robert William Brown and Josephine (Marcelina) Rinkus. He served in the United States Air Force earning the Second Air Force Maintenance Man of the Month honor, and then attended South Florida State college where he earned a degree in electrical engineering.

Bob was a devoted and caring husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his four children; Stephanie Wild (Ben) of Boston, Christopher Brown (Viola-Anne) of Lunenburg, Stacey Streeter (Paul) of Merrimack, NH, and Alison Brown (Eric) of Amesbury, and 8 Grandchildren; Connor, Norah, Emerson, Weston, Tabitha, Charlize, Trent and Flynn. Bob lived in a number of places throughout his life but felt most at home in New England. He loved the changing seasons and was not willing to trade them for anything.

Besides home, Bob's favorite place to visit was Michigan. During his service in the Air Force Bob was stationed in Michigan to maintain and repair the military planes, B-52 bombers. He was known for telling endless stories of the fun he had on the shores of Lake Huron in the vacation town of Tawas. During this time he met his "wife-to-be" Connie Clements and her large family of 9 siblings. They loved the Clements family and were eager to get back to see them each summer.

Bob was extremely creative, a beautiful writer, a car connoisseur, a fixer of all things, and an engineer at the heart of it all. He always envisioned repairing his old 57 Chevy but instead spent his time doing everything for his family and friends: engineering a 3-story treehouse, rebuilding ride-on toy cars, minibikes, and quads for every grandchild, design the perfect kitchen for his wife, helping each of his friends improve their homes, and turning his backyard into a child's oasis of fun. His favorite things included sipping on a mudslide, nibbling on chocolate, and ultimately being with family. He would often say he was the luckiest man to have all his kids and grandchildren close by to be together and enjoy one another because family meant the most to him.
