Pauline Gervais, RN

Pauline E. Gervais (Desmarais), 78, of West Groton for the past year at RiverCourt Residences, formerly a 50-year resident of Pepperell, MA and prior, North Chelmsford, MA, passed away in peace on May 26, 2024 surrounded by her family.

Pauline was a high school graduate of Nashua High. Later in life she attended Nursing School at Rivier College earning an Associate degree in Nursing. She worked at Lahey Hospital and Nashoba Hospital.  Prior to her career in Nursing, she worked at NEBS (Deluxe) for many years.

She is predeceased by her parents Dora L. Desmarais (Brousseau) and Paul P. Desmarais and her son Michael A. Gervais.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 63 years, Robert A. Gervais; her children Michelle L. Galvin and spouse James A. Galvin and Robert S. Gervais and spouse Johanna Gervais; her four grandchildren, Justin R. Galvin, Emelia C. Galvin, Ciera Gervais and Samantha Gervais; her brother Paul Desmarais and spouse Karen Desmarais, and several nieces and nephews.

Pauline loved hosting family and friends, had a passion for cooking, gardening and loved nature and animals.

The family would like to thank all the staff at RiverCourt Residences and the Ascend Hospice team.

Visiting hours will be held in the McGaffigan Family Funeral Home, 37 Main St., (Rte. 113) Pepperell, MA on Friday, May 31^st from 9 – 11 am immediately followed by procession to St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Jersey Street, Pepperell for committal services.
