Patricia Marie Mariano

Patricia Marie “Tricia” (Burns) Mariano, 62, of Pepperell, formerly of Woburn, passed away on February 3, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was the cherished wife of 42 years to Anthony “Tony” R. Mariano.

Born on June 6, 1962, in Woburn to Martha (Doherty) Burns and the late Robert F. Burns Sr., Tricia spent her early years in Woburn and graduated from Woburn High School in 1980. She later earned a degree in Accounting from Middlesex Community College. Tricia worked diligently as an accountant for many local businesses over the years.

A beloved member of the Pepperell community, Tricia was known for her generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need. She made a lasting impact not only through her kindness but also as a living kidney donor to her youngest sister Brenda, a testament to her selfless spirit and deep compassion for others. She had a passion for the arts, particularly painting with acrylics, oils, and watercolors. Her love for sewing and flower gardening brought her joy, and she found comfort in the beauty of nature. Tricia loved music and was always her husband’s biggest fan. She never missed an opportunity to watch Tony play in his band over the years and never, ever missed their Friday Night Date Night. Tricia loved her visits with family members and friends to Hampton Beach and her weekend trips with her daughters to Ogunquit Maine. Tricia treasured her role as “Nanie” to her grandchildren Alaina, Brayden, and Austin and was always there to cheer them on at their soccer games and cheerleading competitions. They were her pride and joy.

Above all, Tricia was devoted to her family. In addition to her husband, Tony, she is survived by her daughters, Danielle (Gary) Hanson of Pepperell and Kaitlin Mariano (James Hagg) of Pepperell; her mother, Martha (Doherty) Burns of Tewksbury, originally of Woburn; siblings, Marcia (Joseph) Tibur of Woburn, Robert (Michele) Burns Jr. of Lebanon, NH, Laura (Joseph) Pelosi of Tewksbury, and Brenda Burns Yorba of Billerica; and her beloved grandchildren, Alaina, Brayden, and Austin Hanson. Tricia is also survived by many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Tricia’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family, friends, and community will be deeply missed.
