Nancy Louise Page

Nancy L. Page, 60, of Pepperell, passed away peacefully on January 11th, 2021 after a long illness,  surrounded by her loving family.

Nancy grew up in Westford and attended Westford Academy. She graduated from the LPN program at Tewksbury Hospital and worked for many years as an ER Nurse at St. Joseph and Lowell General Hospitals.  She also worked as a nurse in various prisons and medical offices throughout Massachusetts.  Childhood summers were spent in Rockport, Maine, making treasured memories with cousins and fostering a life-long love of the Maine coast.

Nancy had many talents including baking, gardening, cooking, canning, sewing, knitting and scrapbooking. She found great joy in sharing what she made, from her delicious pickles and sauces made from her garden bounty, to her beautiful hand-knit sweaters. Spending time with her family is what she enjoyed the most.  Her nieces and nephews cherished time spent with “Gigi” and she was brave enough to take four teenaged nieces and nephews on two cross-country road trips.

Nancy became instant friends with everyone she met and made their lives better for having known her. She was a very open and genuine person who spoke frankly of her struggle with alcoholism and spent countless hours supporting others journeying on the same path. She was very proud to have reached 10 years of sobriety in October.  She lived every day to the fullest, and embraced her journey and every challenge that was thrown her way with courage and grace.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Russell Waliszewski of Townsend, her sister-in-law, Danielle (Ricard) Page of Hudson and nieces and nephews: Julie Marchand and her fiancé Justin LeBleu of Pepperell, Jessica Marchand of Fitchburg, Jacquelyn Waliszewski of Townsend, Christopher Page of Nashua, NH, Adam Page and his fiancée Jessie Montville of Leominster,  Anastasia Page of Merrillville, IN, and Shannon Page of Joigny, Bourgogne, France. She is also survived by her grandnieces and nephews: Rebecca, Timothy, Matthew, Jackson, Gavin, Christian, Kyle, Savannah, Caden, Corentin, Anais and Celene.  She also leaves behind her aunts: Jeanne Keaton of Tyngsboro and Marie Haynes of Lake Zurich, IL as well as many cousins and an endless circle of friends whom she also considered family.

Nancy was predeceased by her parents Frank and Marjorie (Tapley) Page, her brother Stephen Page and sister, Cynthia Page.

Nancy’s family is very grateful to Pepperell EMS and the many doctors, nurses and staff that cared for her with love and compassion over the past year.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Nancy’s honor to the Pepperell Ambulance Fund. Please make checks payable to Pepperell Fire Department, 1 Main Street, Pepperell, MA 01463 with Pepperell Ambulance Fund in the memo line.

A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
