PEPPERELL -- Myron "Ted" Harmon Jr., 79 of Pepperell, formerly of Arlington, passed away Saturday June 29, 2013 at the Bay State Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by his loved ones. Myron was born in Cambridge and lived most of his life in Arlington. He is the son of the late Myron "Ted" Harmon Sr. and Edith (Campbell) Harmon of Arlington. Myron had a lifelong military career in the United States Army and served as a Jump Master in the 82nd Airborne Division. He also worked at Prudential Insurance. He moved to Pepperell in 1985. He also served as the Veterans Service Officer in Pepperell for 8 years. He was also a member of The Pepperell American Legion. He was predeceased by his loving wife Rita (Szabo) Harmon of 56 years.
He is survived by their 15 children, Donna Webb of Texas, Linda Delaney of Woburn, Arthur Harmon of Connecticut, Susan Harmon of Cambridge, Deborah Harmon of Charlestown, Rita Foti of Billerica, Valerie Keenan of Bolton, Dorothy Harmon of Wakefield, Doreen Deshaies of North Andover, Myron Harmon of Florida, Cynthia Osmanski of Rhode Island, Charlie Harmon of Florida, Theodore Harmon of Pepperell, Jeremiah Harmon of New Hampshire and Stephanie Lohnes of Townsend. He is also survived by his brother Robert Harmon of Saugus, and 3 sisters Ethelyn Harmon of Fitchburg, Alice Bada of New Hampshire and Edith Sykes of Montana. He also has over 105 grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Hamilton-McGAFFIGAN Funeral Home, 37 Main Street (Rte113), Pepperell. Relatives and friends will be received by the family from 9:00-11:00 AM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
