Melanie Rose Perry, age 47, of Pepperell, MA passed away on November 20, 2023, at Nashoba Valley Medical Center.
Melanie was born in Nashua, NH on November 9, 1976, a daughter of Warren A. and Elizabeth J. (Rose) Perry. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her siblings, Shawn M. Perry of Dover, NH, Tara M. Caten of Bedford, NH, brother in law Jonathan Caten, and nieces Maddison and Megan Caten of Pepperell, MA, whom she loved to the moon and back. She had so many family members and friends too numerous to list here, but once you were in her heart you were there for infinity. Going to visit family in Virginia and the Outer Banks meant the world to her, bringing her so much joy and filling her heart with love. Face timing with Keegan, Colin and Izzy brought the biggest smile to her face.
After graduating from Groton-Dunstable Regional High School, Melanie graduated from St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in Nashua, NH and never looked back. She became the Resident Care Director of many Assisted Living Facilities in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, caring for residents with dementia and alzheimer’s. The residents and their family members loved her. She always went the extra mile to put them first in every aspect of care. Many families were still in contact with her, even after their loved ones passed.
Melanie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visiting hours will be held at the McGaffigan Family Funeral Home, 37 Main St. (Rte. 113) Pepperell, MA on Saturday, December 2nd from 2:00-5:00 pm. A private service will be held at a later date in Maine. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Melanie’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452 (www.alz.org).
