Marion R. Granberg passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on May 16, 2014. She was born in Groton on July 4th 1943, and was the daughter of the late Delmar and Laura (Morton) Woods. Marion grew up in a family with 12 siblings, and remained very close to them in her adulthood. Marion cherished her time with her family and was a devoted mother and grandmother. She attended the Groton public school system, and worked at the Pepperell Braiding Company for the past 30 years. She loved spending time with her family, reading, and watching the cook shows and game shows on TV. She loved long walks on the beach at Wells, Maine. Also, she loved to take the senior citizens bus trips to Foxwoods to play the slot machines in addition to scratching lottery tickets. Quick to love and laugh, her sense of humor would often show through.
