Lori Marie Kelley, devoted Wife, Mother and Mimi, passed away Friday, September 8th, 2023, surrounded by loved ones.
Lori was born October 30th, 1963, the oldest to Donna and Richard Benoit of Saugus, MA. Lori grew up and attended Wells High School in Maine, with a passion for figure skating. She enjoyed spending her summers at the family camp in Maine with her late grandparents Richard (Deer) and Loretta Campbell. Lori had a great love for spending time on the lake boating and water skiing with her Uncle Rick.
Lori and her husband Jack Kelley married on May 28th, 1988. From there, they settled in Pepperell, MA where they raised their four children, Matt, Kaitlyn, Shauna, and Jamie. As a dedicated mother, she spent many years on the sidelines cheering for her children on the football, field hockey and lacrosse fields.
Lori loved the outdoors, whether it was sunbathing next to her pool, or vacationing in Northern NH (Pittsburg) with her husband Jack searching for Moose (her moose safaris as she’d call them). After 35 years of marriage, Lori and Jack always found adventure on the weekends together.
Lori’s favorite role in life was becoming a Mimi to her 10 beautiful grandchildren who she adored unconditionally: Benjamin, Madison, Kailey, Maddie, Leah, Charlotte, Emily, Jillian, Liam, and Jack.
Lori’s contagious personality and love for music led her to make friends wherever she went (as long as she wasn't playing the same song on repeat).
Lori was the heart and soul of her family. She leaves behind her husband John J. Kelley and their four children and ten grandchildren. She also leaves behind her parents Donna and Michael Isaac and her siblings Deborah, Richard and Michael. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Lori was predeceased by her siblings Jennifer and Gregory.
Visiting hours will be held at the McGaffigan Family Funeral Home, 37 Main St., (Rte. 113) Pepperell, MA on Wednesday, September 13th, 2023, from 4 - 8 pm. Funeral services and burial will be private, but all are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life at the Pepperell VFW Post 3291, 55 Leighton St., Pepperell, MA on Thursday, September 14th, 2023, at 12 pm.
