Sadly, Lizabeth L. Duter passed away on October 10, 2023. Born in Groton on September 18, 1966, she was the daughter of Judy Duter and Lee Duter. Lizabeth was a 1984 graduate of Groton Dunstable Regional High School where she was a member of The National Honor Society. In 1988 she graduated from The University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA. Lizabeth suffered an unfortunate accident in 1989 that caused her to be confined to a wheelchair. Lizabeth was a dear, sweet person who was loved by all who knew her. She lives still in our memories. A special note of gratitude goes to her caregivers, Nesa and Renae, who gave so much, as well as all the others who cared for Lizabeth over the years. In addition to her parents, she leaves her sister, Cynthia Duter of Baltimore, MD. She is survived by two aunts and uncles, Nancy Fournier and the late George Fournier of Henderson, NV and Gladys and Guy Beaudette of Hudson, MA. Four cousins survive her, Cam Ruble, of Fitchburg, MA, Chris Sisto, of Agawam, MA, Hilary Fournier, of Everett, WA, and Michelle Fournier, of Lynnwood, WA.
No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local humane society of one’s choosing.
