Lindy P. Sevigney passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2013, following a brief illness. Born in Lowell on June 22, 1932, son of the late Harry J. and Margaret (Douzey) Sevigney, Lindy was predeceased by Barbara (Barrows) Sevigney his wife of 60 years. He was the youngest and last surviving brother of Richard Sevigney of Hamilton, MA, Frederick Sevigney of Topsham, ME and Norman Sevigney of Lowell, MA. Lindy graduated from Lowell High School, and had a career as a licensed Master Electrician for more than 50 years, during which he worked for several area companies including Parkwood Laminates, Wang Laboratories and Interstate Container, in addition to working as an independent contractor. He was a veteran of the US Army, where he served in the reconstruction corps in Europe following World War II. He also served for many years as a Captain with the Dunstable Volunteer Fire Department.
A resident of Dunstable since 1959, he leaves behind two much loved daughters, Leslie A. Blodgett and Linda J. Quinn, both of Dunstable, and two men he felt blessed to consider sons, Paul (PJ) Blodgett and James (Chip) Quinn. He will be remembered as the much loved Pepe by his three grandchildren, Kylie, Parker and Lily Blodgett. In addition, Lindy is survived by several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be held at the Dunstable Congregational Church on Saturday, September 14th at 10:00 am, followed by interment at the Dunstable Central Cemetery.
