Linda Jean Cummings was called home on Wednesday, December 4th 2024, at the young age of 68, surrounded by friends and family after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.

Born June 14, 1956 in Groton, MA to Henry J. (Pete) and Beverly Cummings, Linda grew up in the Pepperell school system and was a graduate of North Middlesex Regional High School, Class of 1974. One of Linda's greatest achievements was receiving her associate’s degree in business management from Fisher College in Boston, MA.

Most recently, Linda was a constant fixture at her job in Pepperell at 7-11, where new and old friends got to know her as the "crazy headband lady", where she developed a cult following of fans from far and wide always looking forward to her "headband of the day".

Often times as the life of the party, Linda could often be seen and heard singing and dancing alongside her lifelong friends and extended family members. When she wasn't singing or dancing, Linda thoroughly enjoyed cooking, drawing, and painting, with many of those gifts passed along to numerous family members and friends throughout the years.

Linda's love and infectious personality will be greatly missed, and her loss leaves an incredibly large void for all who knew her. While her body was too tired to continue, Linda's spirit will forever live on through the lives of her friends and family, and all the lives she had touched.

Linda is predeceased by her parents Henry and Beverly Cummings of Pepperell, and her older brother Barry, whom she loved and admired dearly, and was inspired for his unwavering strength, courage and determination in life.

Linda is survived by her son Jesse Cummings-White and Alana Almestica of Pepperell, her brother Christopher Cummings and his wife Judy of Nashua, NH, Linda's granddaughter Cailianna Turgiss of Dracut, MA, and several step children, all of whom she loved, cared for and helped raise as if they were all her own.

Visiting hours will be held in the McGaffigan Family Funeral Home, 37 Main St. (Rte. 113) Pepperell, MA on Thursday, December 12th from 5 – 8 pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Graveside services at Woodlawn Cemetery, Pepperell will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you please donate to the GoFundMe page "Support Linda's Farewell: A Community Tribute"
