August 10, 1961 – January 24, 2019 (Age 57)
Liette B. Villeneuve, 57, of Pepperell MA passed away on Thursday January 24th after complications associated with a severe stroke suffered during treatments for a recently discovered brain tumor.
Liette, known by her friends as Lee Villaire, was the beloved fiancé of Roger Fluet who survives her.
Lee was born on August 10th 1961 in Beauport, Quebec to the late Gilles Villeneuve of Saint Gregoire de Montmorency, Quebec and her mother Aline Dery also of Beauport, Quebec. She is also survived by her younger siblings, sisters Sylvie and Cynthia and her brother Carl Villeneuve, his wife Vanda Cimelli and daughters Jessica and Karina along with Sylvie’s children Eric and Catherine Gauthier. Lee loved her family dearly.
Lee loved life. The relationships and friendships that made up her life provided Lee with incredible joy. Lee’s gratitude journal is filled with words of thanks to her loving relationship with Roger, her wonderful friends, bandmates and extended family including Roger’s children Brieanna (Fluet) Kelley, Brennan and Aaron Fluet and nine grandchildren.
Lee moved to Massachusetts in 2002 and was proud to become an American citizen in September of 2016. She enjoyed her professional work at IMA in Leominster as a marketing manager and counted many co-workers as her closest friends.
Lee had a special passion for music for which she devoted much of her life. Lee blessed everyone with her incredible singing voice. Lee was an accomplished songwriter and her discography includes original songs from her early days in ‘Nasty Habits’ her first solo recordings under ‘Lee Villeneuve’ and ‘Lee Villaire’ and her more recent projects with Roger ‘The Flaire’.
Friends are welcome to attend a wake & memorial service to be held at the McGaffigan Family Funeral Home, 37 Main Street (Rte. 113), Pepperell MA on Friday, February 1st 5:00 to 8:00 PM
A ‘Celebration of Life’ concert is being arranged for May 5th at the Bull Run Restaurant in Shirley MA where Lee loved to perform.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations be made to the ‘Lee Villaire Memorial Fund’ (Care of Roger Fluet) 6 Blue Herons Way, Pepperell MA 01463.
