Leann Catherine (Dumas) Saunders

Leann Catherine (Dumas) Saunders, 67, of Townsend, formerly of Littleton, passed away at home on March 29, 2023 surrounded by family. She was born in Lowell, MA on August 3rd, 1955 daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy L. (Velmure) Dumas.

Leann grew up in Littleton, graduating from Nashoba Valley Technical High School in 1973. She continued on to earn her Bachelor’s degree. For the past seven years, she enjoyed working for BAE as a material production controller. She was an extremely hard worker.

Leann was an avid pool player and competed many times in Las Vegas. She enjoyed camping, traveling to Florida, reading, and bingo. Getting together with “the girls” for girl’s night, concerts, and going away were among her favorite memories. Most of all, Leann loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be terribly missed by us all.

Leann was predeceased by her husband, Donald E. Saunders, son Andrew Callaluca, who passed in 2014, sister Desiree Holland, and brother Richard Larsen. She is survived by her children, Donald E. Saunders of Townsend, Joseph Callaluca of New Hampshire, Catherine Abbott of Nashua, Rachael Saunders of Oceanside, CA, Gary Saunders of Southern CA, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Denise Whitney of Shirley, George & Catherine Dumas of Ayer, Robert & Jane Dumas of Ayer, and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held in the McGaffigan Family Funeral Home, 37 Main St., (Rte. 113) Pepperell, MA on Thursday, April 6th from 4 – 7 p.m.
