Katherine Anne Lawrence

It is with deep sorrow that we say goodbye to Katherine Anne (Kim) Lawrence who left our world on Wednesday, April 28, 2021.

Known as Kathy by her family, Mom by her daughter, Nana by her grandson, and Kim by her friends; she was born in Billerica, Massachusetts on May 11, 1955 until her family moved to Belmont, Massachusetts. She lived most of her young life in Belmont, Mass but her heart belonged to Cape Cod where she spent the majority of her adult life.

Envious of not being a true “Codder”, her love of the Cape out shown the light of those that claimed “The Cape” to be their birthright. It was here that she called home and it is there that she will return to be with those that preceded her in death. She will return to her Mother, Florence Anne (Fabbo) Pementel, her Father, Gilbert Pementel, and her Aunt, Lucy Fabbo.

And just as her spirit flies into the arms of those that came before her, Kathy must leave behind those that will miss her dearly and carry her memories with gentleness, kindness, and love. She fell in love for the last time when her grandson, Griffin Lawrence Lewis, was born on June 2, 2011 to her daughter, Katy Anne Lewis (a true Codder) who was born on the Cape December 2, 1978 and will soon be the bride of Christopher Maloney, all from Andover, Massachusetts. Kathy’s older sister, Linda Hoffman, moved west and currently resides in Houston, Texas. Her oldest brother, Gilbert Pementel is in Maine, brother John Pementel lives in Indiana, sister Carol Pementel and her wife, Patty Bakunas, stayed on Cape and live in Dennisport, Massachusetts. The youngest of the Pementel Clan, her brother, Robert Pementel calls Indiana home. And no life would be complete without a best friend; someone who loves you unconditionally, laughs when you laugh and cries when you cry. Kim had that friend in Debbie Divitorrio of North Attleboro, Massachusetts.
