Jonathan Nichols Barrett, 35, passed away October 10th, 2019, in Concord, Massachusetts. He was born January 31, 1984, in Logan, Utah, a son of Timothy Barrett and Janet Nichols.
Jon was very close to his sister Catherine. He was a wonderful uncle to Zyiad and Laila.
Jon lived in Idaho, Utah, Arizona, Wyoming, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. He graduated from Westford Academy in 2002. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Jon participated in many sports. He won numerous medals in downhill racing, and when he was fourteen years old won the junior division National Championship in downhill mountain bike racing. He also loved motocross and off-roading.
Jon had a love for the outdoors and found peace in the Rocky Mountains. He enjoyed gathering with friends around bonfires.
He was a talented artist, writer philosopher and photographer and was imaginative and creative.
Jon was caring, sincere and generous. Friends described him as loving everyone sincerely and giving great advice with a different perspective. He was open-minded, caring and accepting of everyone. He had a big place in his heart for friends with special needs.
We hope he has found peace. He is greatly missed.
The family will have a private service in the mountains of Idaho.
