John Wheeler Edward Young

John Wheeler Edward Young of Pepperell, MA; passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 19, 2020.

Mr. Young was born on March 25, 1995 in Methuen, MA. He spent his elementary years residing in Lawrence, MA and later moved to Pepperell, MA graduating in 2013 from North Middlesex Regional High School.

Mr. Young was an accomplished musician, as both a guitarist and drummer; who enjoyed sharing his love of music with his family and friends. He took pleasure in the process of creating rhythms, melodies and lyrics. Through his music, he was able to truly express himself. When not creating music, he enjoyed attending many different concerts and events throughout New England.

For those who knew John, his kindness and empathy towards others will be remembered most. He was, by his very nature, an inclusive person, finding those who needed him most. John was always ready to listen and counseled his peers with a pensiveness that superseded his young life. He was not an individual who passed judgement, but offered encouraging words of acceptance to those who sought it.

He is survived by his father, Dwight Young of Pepperell, MA; uncles Kenneth Young of Pepperell, MA and Richard Young of Hudson, NH; sisters, Paula (Tommy) Pote of Wilmington, MA; Lillian (Don) Greer of Tewksbury, MA; brothers Faron (Kimberly) Young of Derry, NH and Josh Ford of Lawrence, MA; and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Visitation will be held for John on Tuesday, September 29 from 6 – 8 PM in the McGaffigan Family Funeral Home, 37 Main St. (Rte. 113) Pepperell, MA. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Facial coverings and social distancing guidelines will apply.
