Jeanne Lorraine (Bedard) Laplante, 84, of Pepperell, MA passed away at her home on November 1, 2021 with her loving husband of 64 years, Maurice J. Laplante, by her side. She is survived by her loving children and their spouses: Marie & David Saball of Alton, NH; Suzanne & Christopher Blanken of Bluffton, SC; Maurine & Barry Horne of Sebastian, FL; David Laplante & Tom Lally of Provincetown, MA; and Christopher & Patricia Laplante of Londonderry, NH. She was the loving grandmother of nine: Kelly Goss of FL; Charles & wife Karla Goss of NH; Michelle & husband Aaron Dunderdale of FL; Mark Rowe & husband Greg Barton of CO; Brian Horne of FL; Joshua Saball of NH & Nicholas Saball of ME; Brett & Alex Laplante of NH; and great-grandmother of five: Hunter, Ryder & Brinley Dunderdale; Charlotte Waltz; and Charlie Goss. She was the sister of Arthur Bedard of Chatham, MA, aunt to many nieces & nephews, and was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver & Robella (Desmaris) Bedard and sister, Robella (Dumont) Coates.
Jeanne was born in Lowell, MA on February 28, 1937. She met the love of her life during high school, and they married in 1957. They lived in NC and Lowell, MA before moving to Pepperell, MA in 1963, where they raised their five children and have lived for over 58 years. Most recently they spent their winters in Winter Haven, FL where they made many good friends and memories.
Jeanne had always wanted to be a teacher and spent many years going to night school to fulfill that dream. She graduated from Fitchburg State College in 1980 with her teaching degree and began her teaching career in Lowell, MA before moving on to Hudson, NH where she retired after 20 years as an elementary school teacher.
Jeanne enjoyed camping in the NH mountains and going to Salisbury Beach with her husband, children and later with her grandchildren. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom always made her laugh. Some of her happiest times with them were playing miniature golf and going to the beach. She always loved to have large get togethers with her family and especially loved Christmas! Her favorite hobbies were puzzles and puzzle books: She could spend hours in front of a good puzzle. She loved to watch game shows, Judge Judy and the NE Patriots! Jeanne also enjoyed exploring light houses on her many trips along the east coast.
Jeanne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be missed beyond words. She was always there for her children and made many sacrifices so that they would have the best life possible. She always wanted nothing but the best for her family and provided them with everything they would need to grow into the adults they are today. Her love was immeasurable and abundant.
Her absence will be forever felt by all who knew and loved her!
YOUR PRESENCE, LOVE AND KINDNESS WILL FOREVER BE WITH US…REST IN PEACE…WE LOVE YOU!
