GROTON -- Jean Morse Bingham passed away at Life Care of Acton on July 15, 2013. She was born in Lexington, MA on June 4, 1918, daughter of the late George Morse and Beatrice (Fuller) Morse.
She was a graduate of Lexington High School 1936, and the Danforth-Dunbar School in Worcester, where she was President of her graduating class. Jean was also an Eliot Pearson alumna of Tufts University, class of 1945. During the 1940's Jean was co-founder of the Stoweberry Nursery School in Lexington, later taught at the Reading Center at the Applewild School in Fitchburg, while living in Groton, MA until 1972. Moved to Dennis, MA in 1973, and was the Assistant Librarian at the S. Yarmouth Library until retirement in 1987.
She was the widow of Robert H. Bingham, Jr. and leaves two son's Robert H. (Terry) Bingham, III and his wife Debby of E. Falmouth, MA, Jonathan and his wife MaryAnn of Groton, 3 loving grandchildren, Emily, Andrew and Kirk. Jean is survived by her devoted sister Rachel Stowe of Dennis, MA and also sister to the late Ann Smith of Truro and George Morse of Tenn.
