Jason “Pec” M. Kopec, 45, of Greenville, NH, formerly of Groton and Pepperell, MA, slipped away peacefully, surrounded by his family and closest friends, on January 16, 2019, after a short, but courageous battle with cancer.
Jason was a 1991 graduate of Nashoba Valley Technical High School and was self-employed as a millwright and welder. He had a passion for restoring and painting cars. Jason was a talented artist and often gifted his friends and family his works of art. He also enjoyed sharing his talent by teaching others.
Jason was a kindhearted soul who would do anything for anyone. He loved tattoo art, animals (especially dogs), and had a deep appreciation for music, regularly attending rock concerts. He also loved fishing, riding dirt bikes and motorcycles, snowmobiling and going shooting. Jason had many friends with whom he shared great memories. He was always there to support his friends. He will be remembered fondly by all for his humor, authentic personality, living life to the fullest and for always having a beautiful smile on his face.
He leaves his mother, Susan Patenaude (Secovich), his “favorite and only” niece Ashley Waterhouse, several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends whom he loved as family. Jason was predeceased by his father, Edward Kopec Jr. and his sister Andrea Kopec.
Special thanks to his aunts, uncles and devoted friends for their loving care of him in his final months.
A celebration of life will be held in his honor in the coming weeks.
Donations may be made in his name to the Humane Society of Greater Nashua, 24 Ferry Rd, Nashua, NH 03064.
