James E. Murphy

James E. "Jimmy" Murphy, 65, of Pepperell MA, passed away on January 21, 2022 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital after illness and kidney disease.

Jimmy was born in 1957 in Cambridge, MA. He graduated from Watertown High School and went on to become a Master Plumber. He spent his life surrounded by family as part of a family-owned plumbing company, Murphy Plumbing and Heating.

Jimmy married Sharon (Ryan) on November 24, 1986; they were married for 35 years.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, George and Annette (Buckley) Murphy. He is survived by his loving wife and his four children, his daughter Meagan Murphy of Pepperell and sons Daniel, Jonathan, and Evan Murphy all of Pepperell, his grandson Gabriel Castillo, as well as his siblings Joan Galgay of Watertown, Joyce DeMella of Watertown, John and Kathleen Murphy of Dedham and Kevin Murphy of Watertown as well as his in-laws and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at McGaffigan Funeral Home, 37 Main St. (Rte. 113) Pepperell, MA on Thursday, January 27 from 5 - 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home on Friday, January 28 at 10 a.m. followed by burial at Association Cemetery, Pepperell.

All are welcome to attend, and a reception will be held at the Pepperell VFW, 55 Leighton St, Pepperell MA immediately following burial services. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you share a favorite memory or photo with Jimmy. If you would like to donate to funeral funds please contact the family.
