James W. Henson, 85, of Pepperell, MA passed away March 5, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was a US Army Veteran who moved here from Texas and served during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He loved New England and his life in Pepperell. Jim worked at Bemis Bag from 1959 – 1966 and was the former owner of Kemp’s Citgo in Pepperell for over 30 years, where he made many lifelong friends. He was a former member of the Pepperell Volunteer Fire Department. Jim loved to fish with his friend Chet and was happiest when he could help a friend or stranger in any way. He also loved playing on his tractor.
Jim is survived by his wife of 63 years, Maryann (June) Henson; his daughters, Vicki Beers, Kelly Henson, LeeAnn Henson, and Paula Henson; his son-in-law Ken Beers; his grandchildren, Tyler Howe (son of LeeAnn), Kerrie (Beers) Walker (daughter of Vicki) and her husband Jayson Walker; his great-granddaughters Kassidy and Jordynne Walker; and his sister Barbara Grissell.
