Jacqueline R. (Proulx) Callinan

Jacqueline R. (Proulx) Callinan, age 84, a longtime resident of Pepperell, Massachusetts, passed away on May 10th, 2023. She was born in Attleboro, MA on July 12, 1938, the daughter of the late Maurice C. and Antoinette Marie (Lemieux) Proulx. Jacqueline was the beloved wife of Robert J. Callinan, who predeceased her in 2017.

Jacqueline was a homemaker while her kids were growing up and then did temp work for Manpower. She was a devout Catholic and was actively involved with the St. Joseph’s Church (Our Lady of Grace Parish) community throughout her years. She helped paint and stencil rooms in the church rectory and the church hall kitchen and also assisted with the church Supper Club and the Seder Supper. She served on a number of parish committees such as the church Christmas Fair, Church Arts & Environment Committee, church Collation Committee, and also served as past Commissioner of St. Joseph's Cemetery. She also volunteered in the kitchen at the Senior Center. She loved cake decorating, crafting and making cards for kids with cancer, and baking for the kids in the neighborhood.

Jacqueline leaves behind her son Timothy R. Callinan and his wife Christina of Alto, Georgia; daughter Sheryl Ouellet and her husband Gervais of Nashua, NH; grandson Tyler Kenney and his girlfriend Jenna of Swanzey, NH; sister Grace Williams and her husband Steve & niece Tina; and brother Joseph R. Proulx and his wife Jeanette of Burlington, MA. Jacqueline is also survived by special friends and neighbors, Barbara Bartos of Dunstable, Rita Zapelli of Pepperell, and Kim Crespo of Pepperell. In addition to her parents and late husband, Robert, Jacqueline was predeceased by brother Maurice Proulx and his wife Sandy.

There are no calling hours. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Parish worshipping at St. Joseph’s Church, 28 Tarbell St., Pepperell, MA on Thursday, May 25th at 10 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 ( www.stjude.org )
