Loving Husband, “Dad” and Grumpy
Gregory S. Proctor, veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps., 61, of Pepperell, died suddenly on February 3, 2024, of a heart attack. He was the beloved husband and best friend of Sandra M. Proctor for over 27 years.
Those close to him knew him for his kind heart and generous nature. He would always lend a hand when asked and was always known to have a conversation with anyone who wanted to chat. His helping nature extended to the Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church as well as the salon owned by his wife, Awesome Hair Designs, the six stylists who worked there and the many clients he befriended. He was an avid reader, football fan and loved cars and motorcycles, sharing that passion with his longtime friend, Al Loiselle.
Greg worked as a custodian for the North Middlesex Regional School District for sixteen years until 2021; working in Varnum Brook, Nissitissit, and Spaulding Memorial. He also previously worked at Kemp’s Service Station, United Health Service, and Wang/Getronics.
He is survived by his “son” James Owen and his wife Mary of Manchester, NH, “daughter” Jessica Cobleigh and her husband Ryan of Pepperell, MA. He also leaves behind three grandchildren whom he loved deeply, Paige and Joseph Owen of Manchester, NH and Lynelle Cobleigh of Pepperell MA; his sisters Victoria Hulick of Alexandria, VA, Cynthia Sesnick of St. Augustine, FL; his nephews Stephen Sesnick III, his wife Amber, and Nicholas Sesnick; as well as his many dear friends, including Gerry Michaud, Marybeth Greathead and family.
He is preceded in death by his parents Anne Gould of Towson, MD, Richard Proctor, of Tallahassee, FL, and brother-in-law Stephen E. Sesnick II of St. Augustine, FL.
There will be no formal services, instead there will be a Celebration of Life at the Pepperell VFW, 55 Leighton St, Pepperell, MA on Sunday, February 18th from 12PM to 4PM. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Humane Society in the memory of Greg Proctor. https://bit.ly/RememberGreg
