George Robert Trainor

George Robert Trainor, 88, of Littleton, MA, passed away December 2, 2023 at his home.  Born on April 6, 1935, George is survived by his wife, Janice, his children Kathy Nader (Jon), Nancy Hyam (Wayne), Sheila Capone Wulsin (Winthrop), Julie Trainor (Dave) and Michael Trainor.  George was predeceased by his sons, David and Bobby.  He was a grandfather of twelve and a great grandfather of 4.

George was a man of many passions and interests.  He was a big fan of Elvis Presley and collected his memorabilia.  For many years, he was in a bowling league and was a formidable candlepin bowler.  Even at 88, George continued to be an avid card player - frequently challenging family and friends to long games of cribbage (which he rarely lost).  One of his greatest joys was his Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Buffy.

In his younger years, George proudly served in the United States Army.  He was stationed in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.  Following his military service, George pursued a career in the painting industry, eventually establishing his own successful painting company.   He was a quiet man, that was greatly loved by his children and grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held to honor George’s life at Blessed Trinity Parish – St. Anne Church, 75 King St., Littleton, MA on Monday, December 11, 2023 at 11:00 am. Relatives and friends will be received by the family from 10 – 11 am. Burial will follow Mass at Westlawn Cemetery, 7 New Estate Rd., Littleton.
