George A. DiBerto, formerly of Billerica, died unexpectedly at UMass Medical Center in Worcester on August 28, 2014. He was born at home in Billerica on January 18, 1945, son of the late John A. and Zelma (Farnan) DiBerto . He spent his early years in Billerica where he attended Billerica Memorial High School. Employed in the Asphalt Paving industry most of his life he had been employed by J.E Harrington and J.M. Harrington Paving Contractors of Billerica for a combined period of 40 years as a supervisor.
A resident of Dunstable for 41 years, he enjoyed NASCAR racing, antique car shows, tinkering on cars, camping and RVing, as well as wood working. He enjoyed walking thru very old cemeteries. He also loved to go tractor pulls and fairs in the fall. Mr. DiBerto loved the state of Colorado and always wanted to go back there.
He is survived by his wife Patricia A. (Griffin) DiBerto of Dunstable, two sons Ronald E. of Lowell and Christopher J. of Dunstable, a brother Robert S. DiBerto of Tewksbury, two sisters Rose M. Gottfredsen of Woburn and Lorraine M. DiBerto of Chelmsford, several nieces and nephews, and he was also the brother of the late John and Frederick DiBerto.
