Florence Dee

Florence Jastrab Dee, 93, a lifelong resident of Pepperell and parishioner of St. Joseph’s Parish, passed away peacefully at home on October 9, 2024, surrounded by her family. Born on January 24, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Joanna (Grzesik) Jastrab and very proud of her Polish heritage. Florence graduated from Lowell High School in 1948 and married her beloved husband, John Dee, in 1951, with whom she celebrated 70 years together.

As a devoted mother of seven, Florence embraced her roles as a teacher, cook, and caretaker, dedicating herself tirelessly to her family. After her children grew up, she cherished time with her 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She and John enjoyed 26 winters in Bonita Springs, Florida, where they relaxed on the beach and spent time with friends.

Florence is predeceased by her husband, John, and is survived by her children: John F. Dee III (Lisa), Rosemary Graves (Bill), Susan Mersereau (Manning), James Dee (Jenny), Marcia Estes (Bob), Joseph Dee (Patty), and Thomas Dee (Linda), along with 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Florence's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Parish worshiping at St. Joseph's Church, 28 Tarbell Street, Pepperell MA on Tuesday October 15th, at 11:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery, Pepperell. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pepperell Aid Community to Home (PACH) at 66 Hollis Street, PO Box 1247, Pepperell, MA 01463.
