Dorothy E. Heenehan Roach died peacefully surrounded by her family on February 2, 2017. She was a beloved spouse, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She was also a true friend to many over the years.

Dorothy is pre-deceased by her husband Joseph W. Heenehan in 1955 and by her husband William Stanley Roach in 2004. Dorothy was also predeceased by her daughter Sandraellen Heenehan of Boston, MA in 2008.  She is survived by her son Joseph W. Heenehan Jr. of New Ipswich, NH; her daughter Sharon E. Rossi and her husband John A. Rossi of Duxbury, MA and her daughter Susan E. LaRocco and her husband Mark J. LaRocco of Pepperell, MA.  Dorothy is also survived by her beloved sister, Muriel Sullivan of Middlefield, CT with whom she shared a special bond.

Dorothy grew up in Springfield, MA and moved to Natick, MA with her young family.  She resided in Natick for over 30 years working at Palmer’s Men Store, DebSan Paint and Wall Paper and as an Executive Secretary at the Dana Hall School in Wellesley, MA. Dorothy greatly enjoyed her retirement years in Plymouth, MA; and as a “Snow Bird” in Largo FL.

Dorothy also leaves behind her grandchildren, Kathleen Elizabeth LaPointe, Patricia Suzanne Brumbaugh, John Joseph Rossi, Michael Jefferson Rossi, Rebecca Rossi Sims and Meagan Rosie Heenehan.  She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren Hannah Rose LaPointe, Joshua Joseph LaPointe, Addison Grace LaPointe, Josefina LaRocco Brumbaugh, Sawyer LaRocco Brumbaugh and Eliza Marie Rossi.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Parish worshipping at St. Joseph’s Church 28 Tarbell St. Pepperell , MA on Wednesday February 15, 2017 at  10 AM . There will be a private internment at Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Springfield, MA, in the spring.
