Donna L. Young

Donna was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and was very proud that her Grandfather Isaac Preston Durant was on the Lexington Green on April 19, 1775.  Donna also had past family members from Pepperell that engaged in the Civil War.  She was an active member of the Pepperell Jaycees and was responsible for organizing Pepperell Christmas parades.  Her other activities included becoming a Judo instructor holding a Brown belt 3rd degree and being a Cub Scout leader.

She is also survived by her children Robert Young of Gardner, Massachusetts, Keith Young and his wife Trisha of South Carolina, and Ronnie Young and his wife Nicole of Milford, New Hampshire.

Grandchildren include Michael Young, Zachary Young, Daniel Young, Amanda Young, Timothy Young, Jacob Young, Avery Young, and one great grandchild, Everly Young.

Road Trips and vacations were always on the menu traveling with her husband Bob and sometimes family and friends to New Orleans, Biloxi, Memphis, Island hopping, Vegas, and Foxwoods. 

Her dearest friends were Karen Lehtola, Diane Homoleski, and Bill and Sharon Condra, sharing a lifetime of love and memories together. 

Visiting hours will be held in the McGaffigan Family Funeral Home, 37 Main St., (Rte. 113) Pepperell, MA on Monday, November 20^th from 10 am – 12 pm, immediately followed by Donna’s funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Donna’s name to the Prudence Wright Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. Checks may be made payable to: Prudence Wright Chapter DAR, PO Box 1576, Pepperell, MA 01463 and proceeds will help keep the spirit of Pepperell history alive.
