Donald E. Robertson, 89, of Pepperell (formerly of Groton), passed peacefully from this earth on March 13, 2020. Born in Detroit, Michigan and raised in Morris, Pennsylvania, he served in the United States Marine Corps before marrying Marilyn Blackwell (deceased 2018) and settling in Massachusetts, where he ran a successful metal fabrication business for over thirty years. Don was an avid outdoorsman, skilled carpenter and his passion was the restoration of antique vehicles.
Along with his wife, he designed and built several unique houses, his favorite of which is a home on Long Lake, in Harrison, Maine, where he spent many a happy summer creating fond memories for his family, friends and neighbors.
He is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Robertson and her partner Gayle Picard, of Pepperell, his son, Bradford Robertson and his wife Abby, of Pepperell. One granddaughter, Charlotte Vieira, of Waltham, three grandsons, Nicolas Robertson, of Haverhill, Lucas Vieira and Benjamin Robertson both of Townsend, their spouses and a great-grandson, McCoy Robertson of Townsend.
He will be fondly remembered for his easy going nature, generous spirit, and fierce commitment to family, including siblings and many nieces, nephews and their children.
