David S. Pelkey, of Pepperell died September 9, 2019 at the Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer. He was born in Rutland, Vermont on January 15, 1949 son of the late Harold and Bette (Flood) Pelkey. He spent his early life in Vermont before he was drafted in the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War.
He later was employed by DRMO on Fort Devens as a heavy equipment operator. During his tenure, David was a highly skilled operator and was very much respected for his ability.
He is survived by his partner Elizabeth J. Goddard of Pepperell, children David Pelkey and Laura Jokinen both of Vermont, sister Diane Vight of Whitehall, NY and brother Wayne Pelkey of Pittsford, VT. David is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was also very fond of Elizabeth’s grandchildren Patrick and Elizabeth Goddard.
