David A. Monahan, 60, also known as "Mon" by many of his friends. A longtime resident of Pepperell, passed away at the Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer, October 31, 2013, after a brief period of declining health. David was born on June 6, 1953, in Waltham, MA. Son of the late Mary H. Monahan
Employed in the Construction industry for most of his life, he had worked for several companies in the area as an explosives engineer.
He was a humorous, kindhearted man with a zest for life. He loved watching the Red Sox, playing a game of horse shoes, listening to music, watching old westerns, and just the simple things in life like watching his great-great nephews Zak, Joseph, Chris, and Terrance grow.
He was the beloved brother of Mary and her husband John Dow of Dunstable, MA, also his brother William T. and his wife Gina Monahan of Littleton, MA. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and close friends.
The family would like to thank Bev Lefebvre, Patrick Romero, Mike Sigl, and Dan Brunelle for always being there for David. You all are great friends.
