David Allen Jordan

David Allen Jordan, born in Winchester, MA, grew up in Groton, MA, and resided in Ashby, MA with his family, passed away surrounded by the love of family and friends. Born to Elena Anne Jordan (DiFranco) and Arthur Jordan of Somerville, MA, David was married to his childhood sweetheart and loving wife, Susan (Airey) Jordan. He was a proud father to April (Scott), Tyler (Melissa), Spencer, and Brina (Ricky), and a devoted grandfather to Logan, Scarlett, Olivia, Peter, Felicity and Noah.

He grew up alongside his siblings, Bob (Eve) Jordan and Cheryl (Stan) Bush, and was cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, and their families. Family was at the heart of everything he did, and his legacy of love lives on through them.

A graduate of Groton High School, David furthered his education in college and through an apprenticeship with his father, excelling in drafting and engineering. A lifelong car enthusiast, he delighted in counting how many vehicles he could own, a testament to his passion and curiosity. Known for his love of family, friends, and a house full of cats he was a collector at heart, always finding joy in having "two of everything." A storyteller with a quick wit and a signature pair of suspenders, David brought laughter and warmth to those around him. He treasured simple pleasures, like sitting on the porch watching thunderstorms, and had a deep appreciation for music, from opera and classical, to jazz and local band concerts.

David will be deeply missed but fondly remembered. Even at rest, you could always find him with a secret smile on his lips, reliving happy memories that will live on in his friends and family. Before the close of every gathering, he was known for his unforgettable "Jordan wave", a gesture that now lives on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Services for David are to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741 (www.cancer.org).
