David Stephen Boklaga

David Stephen Boklaga, age 71, of Pepperell, passed away peacefully at his home after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family and in the care of his daughter, Kristi, who stood by him through thick and thin to support him through his journey.

David was born in Brockton, MA on April 10, 1953 and son to Walter and Jennie (Yarmolovicz) Boklaga. A lifelong Pepperell resident, David attended the local schools and was a graduate of North Middlesex Regional High School.

For those who knew David his passion was being a devoted, Old School, lifelong truck driver. He worked for several local trucking companies, both long haul and short haul trips. When he wasn’t driving, he could be found washing his beloved pickup truck which could never be missed with the amount of lights he had on it.

His greatest joys in life were his three grandchildren, Christopher, Ryan and Kiely. He enjoyed the time spent and when few things brought a smile to his face, they certainly did.

David is survived by his daughter Kristi Justason and her husband Jason of Pepperell. Proud grandfather to Christopher, Ryan and Kiely Justason of Pepperell, Ma. He is also survived by two sisters, Lauren Cotter of Pepperell, MA and Susan Boklaga of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and a niece and two nephews. He also leaves behind some several close friends and neighbors and his trucking buddies who he enjoyed reminiscing about the good ol’ days.

Graveside services for David will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery, Jersey St., Pepperell, MA on Friday, April 25th at 10 am, with a memorial gathering to follow.
