Conrad (Conor) Gerard Dufresne quietly left us on Sunday, February 4, 2024. An adoring father to twins Caera and Caden and soulmate to husband Corey, Conor’s vibrant personality, enduring kindness and genuine candor make all those who love him grateful to have basked in the sunshine of his life. Professionally, Conor was an “IT guy”, but not the one that made you feel bad for not realizing your computer was unplugged. While he remained an IT guy for friends and family, his true calling was to be a stay-at-home dad, a supportive husband, and the friend you could always count on to make you smile, kindly hold you accountable, and always, always be there for cheers and tears alike.
Conor loved participating in activities with his children at school, at home and outdoors, even if that meant learning how to ice skate at the age of 47 just to be able to skate with them. Conor could make anyone laugh until they cried, give a child the courage to watch scary movies, and make dancing around the kitchen in a bathrobe one of the best nights of your life. Conor loved clothes and was always a dapper dresser, but his innate sense of style could make tattered shorts and City Sports t-shirt look like the height of fashion. He always knew what to say, his kindness was limitless, and he was fiercely protective of his family and loved ones. He took the greatest pleasure in giving and sharing. Conor was loved and beloved by many and he will be greatly missed.
A resident of Hollis, NH, Conor, 53, is survived by his loving husband of 11 years, Corey, his 10-year-old twins, Caden and Caera, and his devoted springer spaniel Molly; his mother and father-in-law, Christine and Jack Dufresne of Westminster, MA; his brother-in-law Derek Dufresne and Derek’s four children, Christian, Jack, Carly and Chase, of Westminster, MA; his brother Michael Morin, Michael’s wife Lori and two children, Ethan and Brianna, of Woonsocket, RI; his sister, Janet Morin and her wife Shayla Morin of Virginia Beach, VA; his sister Tina Plante and her husband Michael and their children, Michael Jr. and Corey, of North Smithfield, RI; his lifelong friend and sister of his heart Betty Thumser of Pawtucket, RI; and many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, including Scott Therien of Middleboro, MA. Conor was preceded in death by his father, Conrad Gerard Morin, Sr., his mother, Lorraine (Petrin) Morin, his sister Adeline Morin, and his beloved dogs, Schooner the dalmatian and Sadie the silver lab. Say not in sorrow that he is no more, but live in celebration that he was!
Visiting hours for Conor will be held in the McGaffigan Family Funeral Home, 37 Main St., (Rte. 113) Pepperell, MA on Saturday, February 17, from 1 – 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made online to the Arthritis Foundation at arthritis.org to be used for ankylosing spondylitis research.
