Bruce E. Dubey, 70, of Groton, passed away on January 26, 2025.

Bruce was born in Groton to Lawrence Dubey & Grace (Robinson) on April 7th, 1954.

He went to school in Groton, graduating from Nashoba Technical High School in the Plumbing trade. He began his career working for Sargent’s Plumbing. From there he moved on to become a heavy equipment operator for Roy E. MacGregor. Eventually, he accepted a position with the Town of Groton. He was involved in the transition of the once dump and recycling program to what is now known as the Transfer Station.

Bruce is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence, and mother, Grace.

He is survived by his wife, Susan (Garrett), married for 41 years and two children, Bruce E. Dubey Jr. of Ayer, married to Hannah Moller and Jessica Tibbetts of Barrington, NH, married to Robert Tibbetts. He was Papa to Violet Aune, Grant and Luke Tibbetts. Bruce is survived by his seven siblings: Priscilla Tinsley of Hyannis (James M. Tinsley, deceased), Janice Buscemi of Fitchburg (Carlo Buscemi, deceased), Susan Sargent of Schroon Lake, NY, married to Charlie Sargent, David Dubey of Dunstable, married to Carol Lyon, Frederick (Peter) Dubey of Dunbarton, NH (Diana Dubey, deceased), Judith Dubey of Carbondale, CO and her partner Dennis Lightbown, and Sarah Dubey of Newmarket, NH, married to Tony Dye. Bruce had 16 nieces and nephews as well as a boatload of great nieces and nephews.

Bruce had many friends. He was always lending a hand to help. He could be found driving his John Deere throughout the Town of Groton. He will be missed by many.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses of Emerson Hospital in Concord along with one very special person, Dr. Alfred W. Heinser.

A private burial will be held at Groton Cemetery in the Spring, followed by a Celebration of Bruce’s life.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests making donations to the Groton Fire Department Gift Fund, 45 Farmers Row, Groton, MA 01450.
