Barbara Ann Robinson, 75, of Pepperell, passed away on June 16, 2023 at the Life Care Center of Nashoba Valley.
Barbara was born in Nashua, NH on May 18, 1948 to Robert E. and Jayne (Scott) Danforth. She graduated from North Middlesex Regional High School in 1966. Upon graduation, she went to work for the Department of the US Army at Fort Devens in Ayer, Massachusetts where she retired after 37 years. She received numerous awards for her outstanding work ethic. She had also worked part time at The Modern Restaurant in Nashua and Valentino’s Restaurant in Hudson, NH. She made many friendships along the way. She was an avid bowler and was on the Pepperell Women’s Bowling League for many years.
When her children were young she volunteered her time with the Pepperell Little League as a player agent. As a single parent, she was always there for her children, “Robbie” and Sherry, and her nephews Frank, Bubba and Shawn Hoffman. The boys would always comment “You could always hear her rooting for you in the stands”.
Family was very important to Barbara, her greatest joy was hosting family for the holidays at her home and the birthday brunch for Robbie and Sherry.
Barbara is predeceased by her parents, Robert and Jayne (Scott) Danforth, and close friend Sue Baker. Survivors include her son, Raymond “Robbie” Robinson and his wife Donna of Pepperell; daughter Sherry Green and her husband John and beloved and only grandson, Jacob, of Winchendon, MA; sister and best friend, Joan Schibbelhute of Pepperell; sister, Gail Mandra and her husband Mike of Milford, NH; brother Robert Danforth, Jr. and his wife Jean of Shirley, MA; brother Raymond Danforth and his wife Julie of Ashburnham, MA; sister Terry Duggan and her husband Phil of Townsend, MA; a special cousin who was like a sister to her, Linda Starr, of Pepperell; and many nieces and nephews that meant so much to her.
The family would like to thank the staff at Life Care Center in Littleton, Massachusetts for their patience and care while she was there. Also, New England Hospice for their compassion and care of Barbara in her final days.
