Barbara Eddy passed away on January 15, 2023 at the age of 83. Mrs. Eddy was born in Hartford, CT to the late agronomist, Dr. Tore Robert Swanback and artist, Mrs. Hannah Maria "Maja" (Andersson) Swanback. She graduated from Windsor High School in 1957 and received her B.F.A. in Fine Arts from Boston University in 1962, where she met her husband Spencer D. Eddy and had four children, Kirsten, Karin, Martha, and Barbara. Mrs. Eddy worked as an Art teacher for the North Middlesex Regional School District for 30 years, teaching grades 1 through 8. After retiring, Barbara’s main passion was watercolor painting of which she produced many beautiful works over her lifetime. Barbara’s artwork was displayed in art shows across Massachusetts for many years. Barbara always enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters Kirsten Eddy, Karin Eddy (predeceased), Martha West and Barbara Margosiak. She is also survived by her son-in-law John Margosiak, grandsons Henry Margosiak, Spencer West, Kenny West and Ryley Forwood, and granddaughter Hannah West. Additionally, she is survived by nephews Raymond Binelli and Robert Binelli, nieces Deborah Binelli and Karin Lucier, and their families.
A graveside memorial and a Celebration of Life will be held in May of 2023, at an exact date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Albert Harris Senior Center, 37 Nashua Rd, Pepperell, MA 01463 or to the Susan G.
