Anne K. (McGovern) Lenox, 83, died peacefully on Saturday, July 9, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.
Anne was born in Boston, March 4,1933 daughter of the late John McGovern and Mary (Connors) McGovern. She graduated from Emmanuel College in 1954 and was a long time educator, most recently working at the Franco American School in Lowell, MA at the time of her retirement. She was a 25 year resident of Westford, MA before moving to Hollis, NH after her retirement.
Anne was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Richard Paul Lenox who died in 2005. She was the loving mother of four children, Mary Ellen King of Augusta, ME, Alice Razzaboni and her husband Tony of Pepperell, MA, Nancy Flanagan and her husband Brian of Pepperell, MA and Richard Lenox and his wife Brenda, of Hudson, MA. She also leaves 9 beloved grandchildren, Amy Kazsilewski and her husband James, Kyle King, Nicholas Flanagan, Jillian Flanagan, Olivia Flanagan, Laura Chiavelli, Andrew Lenox, Christopher Lenox and Audrey Lenox. She was the adoring great-grandmother to Madison Kazsilewski. She is also survived by a large extended family, and many friends who she loved dearly.
Anne was one of six children growing up in Somerville, MA. She is also survived by her brother the Rev. Robert McGovern of Washington, D.C. and her sister, Ellen Dale and her husband Harold of Melrose, MA. She leaves her dear brother-in-law, James Powers of Arlington, MA.
She was predeceased by her brothers John McGovern and George McGovern of Melrose, MA and her sister Rosemary Mahoney of Staten Island, NY. Anne was also predeceased by her brother-in-law, Robert Lenox of Medford, MA, and her sister-in-law Jean Powers.
